Focus on Recovery

Thank you to everyone who participated in Focus on Recovery! We shared stirring content and had a touching discussion. We were lucky to hear from two wonderful panelists who use creativity to reach out to others about recovery, Anna Pocaro and Ryan Hymas. Check them out on social media to learn more about the ways they use their art to spread recovery awareness.

You can find Anna at @annapocarophoto and @injoyslc on Instagram, and Ryan at @rjhymas on IG and @Ryan Hymas on Facebook.

Thank you again to USARA and Fit 2 Recover for supporting us.

Here's a recap of our featured films from FOR, including Utah Premieres of David Again featuring Jon Cryer of "Pretty in Pink" and "Two and a Half Men", The Feast, Promise, and Alpha House.

David Again - tells the story of David Dennis, his road to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, and his lifelong friendship with actor Jon Cryer. It is a story about redemption, the power of friendship, and the promise that it is never too late to ask for help. A Utah premiere.
The Feast - "It’s just another [excruciating] meal for Vienna - until an offer to conquer her greatest fear in ‘three simple steps’ arrives. Desperate for freedom from her fear of eating, Vienna takes the offer up - only to realize she bit off far more than she can chew... "
Promise - a short experimental dance film exploring the intersection of prescription opioid abuse and grief.
Alpha House - "Addiction and mental health go hand in hand. Our documentary short deals with addiction and mental health. Alpha House has helped many men stay clean and build their lives back up and no one knows this more than Andrew McLeod."
