Black Out Poetry, Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book, newspaper, or magazine and redact words, in order to come up with your very own poetry!. It is an expressive therapy and a form of bibliotherapy, a therapeutic approach that uses literature to support good mental health,
Why utilize expressive therapies?,
Beyond healing past traumas, expressive therapies can help you:
Release negative emotions
Form healthy relationships
Feel more open and independent
Live in the present (rather than focusing on the past)
Feel more ready and able to face the future
What if I don't have a mental health diagnosis?
Don't worry, our programs can help with team building, connections, communication skills, self esteem, trouble shooting and vocational skills.
